Sojourn,
Today is our annual holiday Rest Sunday, rather than our usual gathering, we invite you into Sabbath rest at home—a time to slow down, receive God’s refreshment, and worship. The resources below provides some ideas and links for how to spend this day whether alone or with others from Sojourn or with your family.
Part of Rest Sunday is making space for an Annual Reflection.
Spend a few minutes reflecting on the year that’s been and the year ahead. You can do this in solitude or around a table with friends or family.
Consider:
Where did I experience God’s nearness this year?
Where was this year hard, unresolved, or unfinished?
What am I grateful for—big and/or small?
What do I want to entrust to God as the new year approaches?
As you finish reflecting, take a moment to offer gratitude to God for His faithfulness this past year. Then, receive the rest of the day as a gift to enjoy.
To God be the glory!
*On Sunday, December 28th, we will not gather for our regular gathering time, our normal scheduled gathering will resume on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
